Who we are…
At Sackett Family Farm, our days revolve around family, responsibility and caring well for the animals and land entrusted to us. We believe in steady work, thoughtful stewardship and raising our children with an understanding of where food comes from and the value of tending animals with consistency and respect. Our goats are raised with daily hands-on care, and the same care extends to how we approach our farm, our family and our neighbors.
Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men”
How we got started…
Our homesteading journey began out of necessity and love for our family. When our eldest child developed severe eczema before turning one, we searched for answers. Countless doctors and specialists offered little relief. Finally, we visited a holistic doctor who helped us see the connection between overall health and the food that we use to nourish our bodies.
That moment changed everything. We started with a small flock of chickens to provide healthy, farm-fresh eggs. Then, we planted a garden to grow our own organic produce. Soon after, we welcomed a starter herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats and discovered the richness of fresh, wholesome and delicious milk! We have future plans to add rabbits to our homestead, as well. From the beginning, we’ve raised our animals holistically, with the best feed and care we can provide — because we believe that what they eat directly impacts the health and quality of the milk they provide us. What began as a search for healing has grown into a way of life.
