About Bambi

Where do I even begin with Bambi? I love her, plain and simple. She is everything I look for in a dairy goat: friendly without being obnoxious, compliant, and possessing both excellent structure and feet. Overall, she is an incredibly easy keeper—I have no record of ever needing to deworm her.

While she is a slow grower, she gets better every year, and I truly believe she will really shine after her third freshening. The cherry on top is her udder; she has relatively small teats, but the texture is so pliable and buttery soft that getting a good grip is effortless. In addition, she has huge orifices, and the milk comes out in heavy streams, allowing me to milk her out in roughly two minutes.

Bambi has freshened twice, giving us twin bucklings both times. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a keeper daughter for her third freshening! We raised Bambi from a bottle doeling, and she is one of those does who will retire here. She proves herself to be a keeper year after year, and despite her small stature, she is currently our second-highest milk producer.
